ARTIST RESIDENCY WITH A | SPACE | BETWEEN

Ariadna Dane was proud to have undertaken an artist residency with a | space | between. The organisation is devoted to incorporating art into healthcare practices, with the aim of enhancing well-being for individuals of all ages.

As part of the residency, Dane created mindfulness-based art exercises, founded upon her art practice and previous work. This was distributed to the patients of the UK hospitals, including The Royal Marsden, the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust, the St Pancras Rehabilitation Unit and others.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to take part in this meaningful initiative, which allowed me to explore the different facets of my creativity”, Ariadna Dane.

DANE’S WORK ACQUIRED FOR THE BRITISH OLD WAR OFFICE

The artist’s artworks from the Basal Elements series joined the art collection of the iconic historical building.

Built in the Baroque style, the landmark building was completed in 1906 and stood as silent witness to world-shaping events of the twentieth century. Influential political and military leaders, including Winston Churchill, Lord Haldane and T. E. Lawrence walked these corridors of power, while the Grade II listed building inspired Ian Fleming’s James Bond series, and has featured in numerous Bond films.
